Zellah May Provart

Zellah May Provart, 81, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:48 A.M., Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville.
Zellah was a homemaker and beautician.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Du Quoin and  Euzelian Sunday School class.  She was involved in Training Union and Clothing for the Needy.
She was born February 21, 1921 at Tamaroa, IL, the daughter of Everett James and Josie (Morrow) Crawford.
She married Gerald Gordon Provart on August 24, 1941 at Marble Hill, MO and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1999.
She is survived by one son - Gordon Wayne Provart and wife Margaret of Woodland Park, CO, one daughter - Joan Margaret Russell of Du Quoin, IL, four grandchildren - Laura Klump of Murphysboro, IL, Meredith Alexander of Highlands Ranch, CO, Josh Russell and Brandon Russell of Du Quoin, IL, and two great-grandchildren - Aaron Klump and Quincy Klump.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 15, 2002 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin.
